Component Weights

This will be boring for most of you. But, it’s something I have to pay attention to. I set up a spread sheet to track the weight of each component as I removed, or added it to the car. In most cases it is obviously ‘remove’, but, there are things like ‘removing’ the seats, and installing the replacements which are light weight aluminium. This helps me keep tabs on where I am with the car.  I rounded numbers up or down to be even pounds if they were roughly within 1/4 pound.  It was difficult to closely track the sound deadening materials.  Most of it came out in bits and pieces.  But, I did make a bit of an effort to track it by weighing the bigger pieces and approximating the weight of the bits.  The number in the right hand side of the top row is the running total
