TWR Ground Effects
Only ‘stock’ body design/panel placement can be used. I was fortunate enough to locate an original TWR ground effects package in the UK and imported it for use on this car. TWR (Tom Walkinshaw Racing), was the Jaguar factory sponsored team on the European Circuit and campaigned very succesfully.
The TWR logo moulded into this panel was in the middle of a damage area but was salvaged with a little care.
A little tidying up and it will look as good as new.
As these panels were available to the general public on the TWR version of the XJS, they are therefore allowable in the /PRO class the car will compete in. Although umper wrap panels were badly damaged, they are made of fiberglass and repairable. The initial work has been done to the panels so that they are once again complete and intact units. Here are the front and rear bumper wraps in their current form. Those white areas are where damage had occured. The white is the original gel coat colour. The grey areas are the repaired sections with the new fiberglass showing through.
The real bonus is the factory trunk (boot) mounted spoiler. Again, due to the factory/retail availability, it can be used in the class, thereby allowing the added stability to the car at high speed, and already a tested and proven design.
