Super Run 2011
Nearly 600 vehicles on display. Rodders and builders both local and from across Canada made the pilgrimage to Saskatoon for the annual event. Last held in Saskatoon in 2008, the location of each event is moved around Canada to various locations each year for the Show-N-Shine get together. This years event proceeds were to assist Camp Easter seal The meger $5 obtained the spectator full access to all things automotive. Best of all, HUNDREDS of Street machines, Hot rods, customs and classics. Builder and dealer displays and best of all, an abundance of good times and old friends.Day one saw clear blue skies, with the temperature hovering around the 24 C mark. I’ve chatted with some old and new friends, discussed some interesting builds, and managed to grab a few hundred photos of the beatuful cars present this year.I’ll get the galleries up over the comming days.

Chris Bainbridge, another friend, had his small block powered chevy on display in benefit of his new employer. Chris couldn’t stop talking about the new wheel combination he’s working on. Looking forward to seeing it. But, I do like those Americans on there now. |

Darren Partridge displayed his current rig. This great chopped Chevy pickup. He’s been talking about a supercharger, but, was rather smitten by a blown Willys pickup, that can be seen in the event gallery. I dunno.. At least you can still do things with this one Darren. But, that Willys is WILD! |
Of course, an event attended by gear heads, MUST have a place to buy and sell vehicles. Close friend Phil, soon lamented the sale of his 55 Chevy after having seen it passing through town after many years. Phil couldn’t resist having a close look at one of the vehicles on offer. Phil, you only live once. You shouldn’t have sold the 32 coupe either.. |

Naturally, an event like this demands some great entertainment. Several bands and groups made appearances. Unfortunately, I was only around to get these two pictures. The band played period music like demons. |
Not to be outdone, these gals brought back great memorys with their renditions of many great tunes from a time gone by, with voices of angels, and T shirts to match.. |
