Tom Mackie is a life long dedicated DIY builder of custom and performance cars. He is a firm believer in promoting and celebrating the common interests that all car and race fans share, and will never turn away from collaborating on projects that enable other car enthusiasts to succeed
Tom was born and raised in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan CANADA. Tom has worked his way through high performance, race and show vehicles repairing, redesigning, and rebuilding starting long before he obtained a drivers license. Outside of the automotive world, his entrepreneurial spirit has served him well. He has successfully owned and partnered in several companies including a fitness center, construction and renovation company and even manufacturing medical devices that solved real-life problems marketed internationally, and still colaborates on projects and developments with friends and associates. When bitten by the computer bug in the 70’s, Tom designed, manufactured and marketed computer hardware and developed the associated software.
In Toms continual quest for knowledge, a constant stream of learning keeps him challenged. Tom is quick to point out that you can learn from everyone as all education is the sharing of someone elses experience. In addition to the obvious accomplishments and knoweldge learned through practical experience, Tom has obtained numerous certifcations and accreditations in sports coaching, teaching, medical and fire communications, inspection and investigation. In 1988, Tom received certification as an Engineer

Tom has dedicated nearly 30 years to the City, is a member of Local 80 of the IAFF and is currently a Fire Inspector & Investigator with the Saskatoon Fire & Protective Services. In addition, once an Executive Board Member, and now honorary life time member of Saskatoon Search and Rescue. Tom is humble about his commitment to the City, noting that he lives for today and always enjoys the journey that leads him to where he is going.

When pursuing an interest, Tom brings a level of commitment and drive that are a winning formula for success. As he prepares for a World Record attempt at upcoming Bonneville events, he continues to plan for new projects and learn new skills.
